What Will it Take to Wake You Up, Joeuser?

As Bush is faced with thousands protesting along his journey to promote fair trade, his numbers here at home speak loudly.

It is a shame that so many here stay in denial. But if it helps you feel better, feel safer, thinking that Bush is protecting you, then so be it.

Presidents Approval Rating is MEANINGLESS? How true in a Dictatorship NOT IN AMERICA!

Your statement is just what we have come to expect from people who support Bush and the conservative right. They want it there way no matter what the majority want

A Dictatorship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colon Gangrene, you complete waste of taxpayer money!!! News Flash!! THE PEOPLE DON'T ELECT THE PRESIDENT!!!

News Flash!! The Office of the President doesn't represent the people, that is the House of Representatives' Job!

News Flash!! Approval Polls are meaningless because they do not reflect anything real. All they show is that on a given day more people were unhappy with their lives than another day.

News Flash!! Even though pantywastes like you want to blame everything on Prs. Bush, the running of every facet of the government is NOT HIS JOB! It is idiots like you who think he should have all power and all authority that ruin any value the Approval Polls can have. You are the one that wants to hold Prs. Bush to grant Prs. Bush dictatroial authority, since you want to hold him responsible for everything that happens.

News Flash!!! You know absolutely NOTHING about the way this country runs!! What, were you smoking crack through all your training... or just getting good grades and evals in trade for sexual favors with the instructors?

I noticed you completely ignored the real numbers I posted on my blog. Prs. Bush's highs have been among the best, and lows have been about average compared to every president since FDR, so stick that in your 4th point of contact you sniveling loser! Link

Dr. Guy, I'm not sure what arguments you have been in with COL Gene, but I must admit to being surprised at the way you write to him and at how well he is ignoring it.

YOu will learn in time. He is a one trick pony. And turns any thread into a Bush Bashing one. It gets tiring.

Wrong again KLink. Whether is at 12 or 92, the only time that counts is on election day. and I would suggest you read the COnstitution, specifically the 22nd Amendment.

Guess what? BUSH Cant run again!
Now dont you feel stupid?

a case of fresh eyes providing clarity.

whatever you think of his politics or his perspective, colGENE is admirably and consistently civil, possibly even amazingly civil considering how freely and disrespectfully you take liberties with his nick.

Kingbee

I believe the way in which some address me just demonstartes how lame they and their positions really are. I do not need their approval and have very supportive comments of hundreds of people who know and have worked with me over the past 40 years. These people include average people as well as some very important individuals including large corporate officials, general officers, political leaders and outstanding educators. My CV is two inches thick cramed full of statements that reflect a knowledge of me that is predicated on years of direct personal contact.

good ol kingbee ever the gentleman and champion of the underdog, no wonder I admire you.

Gene most of this is not personal attacks it's disgust at how you can turn a blog on "loving your pet" into a bush hate fest.

The government has the power to levy taxes.

Yes. indeed. And that is, I think, why Dr Guy wants to know why it would be wrong for government to reduce taxes for the rich.

Leauki

The government has a responsibility, just like you and I, to pay for what they spend. In 2001, Bush claimed there was a $5.7 Trillion Surplus over the next ten years and that proved the American Taxpayer was over taxed. Had that been true, George Bush would have been correct. As it turned out there was NO SURPLUS, and the tax cuts were not justified. Now we are running about a $550 Billion loss per year. To bring the budget back into balance, it will take spending cuts, better enforcement of the existing tax laws and to resend some of the tax cuts that were predicated on a Surplus that did not exist. If we resend the tax cuts on the middle income taxpayers it will impact spening since the middle income American spends just about 100% of their disposable income. Increase thier taxes and you lower their dosposible income and thus spending (Demand). If we help balance the budget by returning tax rates on the wealthy to the pre 2001 levels, we add to the Federal Income, reduce the annual deficit and cut the surplus of the wealthy with very little impact on spending. It that a simple enough answer?

Cliff Notes version- We NEED more federal income and the best place to get it is from those who have it and got the BIG tax cuts - the wealthy.

Bush is a dead duck, whether his fanatics here or wherever they are in the world like it or not.

As the date of his departure comes closer, his authority becomes weakened and as the scandals continue his purpose for being president becomes questionable. He faces the same problem Blair has, by saying he will not fight the next election, the plates move and the leader becomes an irrelevance.

He doesn't ignore it in the least... he tries to reach up from the sewer he calls an existance and once in awhile even throws in a decent one.

Either way, ol' Colon Gangrene may have a lot against him.. But I will say, he can sure take it!! ;~D

surplus of the wealthy

You would have made an excellent aparatchik in circa 1918 Russia, Gene. Gene has decided that certain members of our society have a "surplus" - and that certain other members of our society are entitled to confiscate it. And, since Gene decided it, well who are we to question Gene. However, that concept had a real-world trial run which didn't turn out too well.

What we need is less federal government, not more federal income. Robin Hood may be a popular fella, but putting him in charge of the IRS would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Cheers,
Daiwa

yawn, of course, Colon Gangrene, class warfare again. Yawn. Once again, no point, just "class" "class" "class"... I bet you didn't give a rats butt about "class" when you were sitting on your commissioned high horse and all the enlisted were making your next promotion for you right? ::: Spits in Colon Gene's classist pie hole ::::
